Ceramic Projects
Takajo 09 Art Show
Pictures from the art show.

Here is a list of ceramic projects I did with the kids at camp:
Sea Creatures- Most of these creatures are made from a simple pinch pot and appendages are added on.

Totem Pole- Wrap a slab of clay around a plastic covered cube to create a cylinder. Add features and put in a inner coil.

Masks- Lay a slab of clay over a plastic mask or bowl and cut out sides and carve in features.

Slab Box- Cut up slabs and slip and score together. Add inner coil and handle.

Critter Armies- Creative small figurines.

Coil Pot- Coils laid on top of each other.

Plaques- Slabs that are carved.

Monsters- Start with a pinch pot and go from there.

Wheel Thrown Work- Keep it simple when starting.

Texture Cups- Slab cups rolled on rubber texture pads.

Mug on a Mug- Create a face on a pinch cup.

Bananagram Crossword Mosaic- Created Bananagram letter tiles all summer to play the game. At the end of the summer we created a giant crossword with camp related words and attached them to a board with adhesive. We filled in the space with shards from old projects and put some grout over it.

Hope you enjoy seeing all of these fun projects!
